Can economic growth and sustainability coexist - or are they fundamentally at odds? This interactive workshop invites advanced English learners (B2+) to explore one of today’s most current global debates while improving their language skills. In the first part, participants engage with authentic materials - articles, audio, and video clips - examining economic and environmental policies in Germany and across the English-speaking world. The second part shifts from input to output. You’ll learn practical tools for an effective discussion and debate, including useful phrases, strategies for expressing nuanced opinions, and techniques for responding persuasively. These skills are then put into practice through a guided discussion or debate on a selected subtopic.
