Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a distant concept from science fiction - it is already part of our daily lives. From navigation apps and online shopping recommendations to medical diagnostics and automated decision-making systems, AI is shaping how we live, work, and interact. But with these advances come important ethical questions that affect us all. This workshop offers an engaging introduction to the ethical dimensions of AI. It combines perspectives from technology, philosophy, and the social sciences. Participants will gain a basic understanding of how AI systems work and why ethical concerns are increasingly important in this field. The second part of the workshop is a guided discussion. Together, we will explore at least one of several questions, such as: Should AI be used in medical diagnosis, and can we trust its decisions? How might AI change the future of work - will it replace even creative professions? Participants will receive a menu of phrases, an active communication strategy, as well as cultural pointers for English speakers to try and improve their fluency.
